  6. This is good information to all the deafies! I would suggest you also talk about BPA in the plastic bottles being bad for your health.

  7. To the second anonymous person who didn't agree...In fact, bottled water has no fluoride (important for your teeth) while tab water does because it is managed and monitored by the city or county. Yes we do fill up our containers from filtered water from refridge, but we also take bottled ones for trips, etc. At home we recycle just about everything: plastic, glass, aluminum, cardboard, newspapers, magazines, and papers!! We also take plastic bags to recycle at grocery store.

  8. you forgot to add.. you need to buy a Brita or Pur to connect to the facuet still clean water after tap water.. still works!! Best advice buy some bottle of waters, empty after you drink them.. keep them for refill water from Brita or Pur facuets..saves alot of money.. either way!

  11. we are very fortunate that we can CHOOSE tap water or bottled water. other places on earth people only drinks dirty water. let's appreciate water we have, people!!!

  12. I am also interested in the other side of the argument: say I opt for tap water instead of bottled water at a cafeteria. The plastic cup with which I filled up my water has a greater PET content than some of the next-gen water bottles, meaning that their manufacture require greater embodied energy. I don't think there's an one-size-fits-all solution, but certainly it is good to think about what we consume.

  13. Ditch the plastic cup by carrying your own insulated stainless-steel bottle filled up with filtered tap water. It for sure will keep your water icy-cold through the day, save you a lot of money and guilt with purchasing water bottles and/or using plastic cups. Just saying.
