Visit "One Planet - Ours!"

One Planet - Ours!
Sustainability for the 22nd Century
at the
U.S. Botanic Gardens
Washington DC
Exhibit runs May 24 - October 13, 2008

Much more on the exhibit grounds: a large greenhouse with plant identification and medicinal properties, a center discussing Seattle, WA and their green initiative including permable roads and sidewalks, a hands on display of strawbale building - in action, more cool globes, a 'green' schoolyard, windturbines and more!

  1. That is a really good video. It makes me want to visit that place in person, so I could browse around and read all those posts there, too.

Did you make this video, Raychelle? If so, well done with captioning and everything.

Yup, down with the television and up with the bicycle. :)

    Treat the earth well.
It was not given to you by your parents,
it was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors,
we borrow it from our Children.

  2. hey anz,

yep, i made this rudimental video... there were so many more exhibits there, my camera ran out of memory, and i deleted quite a bit here and there because of shadows/bad lighting.

my intention with this video was to make people want to visit, so i'm glad it worked! :)

that indian proverb nails it on the spot. thanks for sharing.

    namaste!

  3. Here's this link about how meat eaters contribute to the global warming other than blindly inflicting abuse, cruelty and negligence of farmed animals:
