Biokleen Laundry Powder

Thinking about switching to using an eco-friendly laundry detergent that treats your clothes and Earth with respect? BioKleen Laundry Powder is the product to look for.

The price is about twenty dollars per container. Buy an extra BioKleen Laundry Powder container to save you even more money when it is on sale. It about 100 loads to go through the box. For doing two loads a week, it will take about fifty weeks to use up the powder. That is almost a year worth of it.

BioKleen Laundry Powder are packed in recycled containers. The BioKleen products are never tested on animals. The ingredients to make laundry powder are natural and biodegradable which means the laundry water could be resuse as greywater to feed the garden.

I have been using BioKleen Laundry Powder for about two years. I do not think I will switch to another laundry detergent. I recommend BioKleen Laundry Powder. It will treat your clothes and Earth very well.

  1. what about Seven generation laundry detergents, are they good or not good as biokleen?

  2. Seventh Generation laundry detergents are as good as Biokleen. I am not sure if Seventh Generation use recycled containers like BioKleen.

Usually Seventh Generation laundry detergents cost more than BioKleen laundry detergents. I think Seventh Generation products are more trendy which is why it costs more.

I personally like BioKleen better because a box of it lasts about two to three months for eleven of us that live here together.

Seventh Generation or BioKleen laundry detergents are better than ALL laundry detergents. (Pun intended)

  3. I am not familiar with this one. Question: Is this effective agent to wash white clothes and bedsheets in cold water only? I could not find any "green" laundry detergent in my local stores at this moment.

  4. BioKleen Laundry Powder can be used in cold water. I use it to wash my white clothes all the time. I give it a good review. ;)

Is there a natural food store or a cooperative food store in your area? or make a request at any supermarkets to order BioKleen or Seventh Generation products if they don't carry it.

  5. I use EVERYTHING Bi-0-kleen. I started out using this product because I have a parrot and needed something safe to wash his cage with. Then I discovered a local carpet cleaner also used Bi-0-Kleen so I hired him to do my carpets twice a year. I highly reccomend all of these products. I speak from experience.

  7. Thanks for the tip! I am trying to avoid chemicals as I have small children, and don't want them exposed more than absolutely necessary... I will check out this brand!

  9. Excellent post! I personally prefer paper products (e.g. biokleen is made of paper) vs. 7th generation's plastic containers).

Natural paper with soy inks can be recycled, and if thrown away, will decompose and leach very little harmful chemicals. Plastic containers have to be recycled, which uses up a lot of water, electricity and energy (to return plastic to it's original state). And if it's not recycled, it sits in the landfill forever, and leaches horrible chemicals in the groundwater. So if I have a choice, I tend to choose paper over plastic-

But the ideal situation is bringing your own glass/metal container to the store and filling it up with bulk natural laundry powder or liquid. This way, nothing is added to the recycle bin or to the landfill. This is my next step when my detergent runs out (it takes forever because I have a front loading machine which requires very little detergent).

  10. No, no, even more ideal is making your own laundry detergent from natural items! Or going without laundry detergent - I know Willia Mae and many others who do this- and she says her clothes smell just fine :) Corporate America has done an excellent job of brainwashing us to think we need soap for everything :)

  11. Raychelle, thank you so much for your inputs.

For sure you are taking the greener step! I would love to learn more about making your own natural and biodegradable laundry soap! If you know of a "Do It Yourself" recipe in making a heap of laundry soap at home, please let us know. In the meantime, I will take a look into it. :) Yeah, I agree Corporate America did great jobs in brainwashing to think we need "everything."

  12. That's great about this product and it beats what I have currently, which is the 7th generation plastic container. Once it runs out, I'll look into this. Raychelle's idea of do it yourself receipe would be even better. That depends on whether or not I have time for it! :) Biokleen Laundry Powder will have to do for now.

  14. Biokleen’s Cold Water Formula works effectively using cold water in place of warm/hot water, saving energy and money. Removes tough stains and odors and rinses clean, without leaving residues that can irritate skin or ruin fabrics.
