DC Green Festival

Green Festival is interesting! Will there be interpreters available during the whole time for sure? Although I saw the sign language icon, I'm double checking.
ReplyDeleteI would like to hear out what Julia Butterfly Hill and Barbara Ehrenreich has to say. Barbara's book Nickel and Dimed was very good to read!
namaste!
Hi, Anthony...
ReplyDeleteThis is Andrew at Co-op America, one of the producers of Green Festival. We provide interpreters for all of the main-stage speakers at Green Festival, and we also staff a table of "roamer" interpreters at the front of the hall, who are available for other assignments on a first-come, first-served basis. (Note: The Potomac Chapter RID conference is the same weekend as Green Festival this year, so we may struggle to fill the main stage a bit more than normal...)
Thanks for your interest, and we hope to see you at the Green Festival!
Hello Andrew,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you. Thank you for your quick response, too. After knowing the Green Festival is well established with interpreters, I'm more motivated to go.
By any chance, is Co-op America somehow connected with North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO)? http://www.nasco.coop/
Thank you again!
