Deaf Mountaineer Shares her Goals

In this ASL vlog, Heidi Zimmer, a Deaf mountaineer shares her life goals:

1) summit the highest peak on each continent,
2) summit the highest point of each US state, and
3) summit each of Colorado's 54 peaks over 14,000 feet.

Heidi has the honor of being the first deaf person to summit Mt. Elbrus in Europe, and she is also the first woman to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa! Come join her on her travels... visit www.heidizimmer.com ! (1 minute, 59 seconds)

Heidi has provided scanned copies of Maryland's highest point (due to a request via comments below).

  2. I know the San Gabriel Mountain Range like the back of my hand. I spent all of my wonder years on the mountains and canyons there.

Manker Flats is my home away from home. I can live off the mountain if I wanted to.

It takes a special breed of people like you to be a mountaineer.

  3. wonder what the highest point in Florida is? No mountains there so maybe highest hill or land elevation?

Anyway, best of luck in reaching your goals.
